Quarterly Stakeholders Meeting with Panel Lawyers:
Advocate Md Bony Amin, a Panel Lawyer of DLAC and General Secretary of Bar, Jhalokathi, said that Legal Aid Service is a good initiative for poor disadvantaged people. “Legal aid case filing budget is not sufficient. Sometimes the expense for case filing crosses the amount of allocated bill for panel lawyers. We would like to humbly request to pay an amount as advance for case filing. Most of the clients come from rural area, and they are not solvent enough. They cannot even manage the transport cost to come to Legal Aid Office. Ad valorem court fees is also a burden for them.” Finally, we request support providers such as PPJ, and DLAC to provide a Diary and Calendar beginning of the year.
